The EFG marketing team is comprised of individuals with broad multifamily backgrounds.  The team members all have institutional backgrounds at companies such as Travelers, Lend Lease and Archstone.  Together they have over 60 years of experience in the real estate industry.

Greg Engler – President
Greg has seventeen years experience in the commercial real estate field specializing in the sale of institutional grade apartment properties.  Prior to opening Engler Financial Group, Greg was the Moran & Company Southeast partner for over seven years and closed over $1.0 billion in transactions with Heitman, Prudential, Lend Lease Real Estate, Related Group of Florida, General Investment and Development, RREEF, R&B Realty Group, Allegis, Invesco Realty Advisors and numerous others.  Prior to joining Moran & Company, Greg was responsible for multifamily acquisitions, dispositions and development in the Southeast for Archstone Communities.  Prior to Archstone, Greg spent eight years at Travelers Realty Investment Company overseeing the disposition of $2.0 billion of commercial real estate throughout the country.  He has a B.S. in construction engineering from Nebraska and a MBA in real estate from SMU.  Greg is a licensed real estate broker in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, Virginia and Tennessee.  He is also a licensed salesperson in Texas.

Patrick Jones – Senior Vice President
Pat’s background includes accounting, finance and institutional acquisitions.  Pat has an MBA as well as his CPA designation and is a licensed real estate salesman in the states of Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina.  Prior to joining Engler Financial Group, Pat spent three years at Moran & Company as a manager working closely with Greg on over $250 million in dispositions.  Prior to Moran & Company, Pat worked as an associate in the acquisitions office of Lend Lease in Atlanta, GA.  At Lend Lease, Pat assisted in the closing of approximately $400 million in transactions and underwrote an additional $1.5 billion.  Prior to working at Lend Lease Pat worked as a tax accountant for several well respected Atlanta accounting firms performing tax consulting and compliance for several Atlanta real estate companies.

Pearce Presnell – Vice President
Pearce’s background includes experience in commercial appraisal, brokerage, mortgage financing, and investment research.  Pearce has a B.S. in Real Estate from Florida State University and a Master’s degree in Real Estate and Urban Analysis from the University of Florida.  Prior to working at Engler Financial Group, Pearce was responsible for underwriting and production of multifamily marketing materials at Greycliffe Partners in Tampa as well as Apartment Realty Advisors in Boca Raton.  Past experience also includes three years at iCap Realty Advisors in Orlando working as a correspondent lender for Prudential Life Insurance Company.  Prior to iCap Realty Advisors, Pearce worked in the investment research department of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments in Atlanta, where he supported portfolio managers and clients through strategic and tactical real estate investment research.  Pearce spends the majority of his time in Florida assisting in underwriting and preparation of marketing materials for Engler Financial Group where his appraisal and property contacts are extensive.  Pearce is a licensed real estate salesperson in Florida.

Kris Mikkelsen – Senior Associate
Kris joined the EFG team in early 2007 and has a background in commercial real estate capital markets.  Prior to joining EFG, Kris was a member of the Capital Markets Group at the Colliers International office in Atlanta, Georgia.  Kris' primary role was originating debt and equity placement for a large group of correspondent lenders.  In his first year with Colliers, Kris was responsible for originating $45 million in loan originations, and participated in the underwriting and closing of an additional $50 million.  Kris is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a bachelor's degree in management and was an All American member of the men's golf team.  Kris is a licensed real estate salesperson in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
